The property has beautiful views of the lake looking directly at Mt Tarawera. It has been freshly painted and has new carpet. It has been very comfortably furnished. Very comfortable beds with feather duvets and feather pillows. It is at the start of the lake so it is an easy kayak around the corner to The Landing cafe for a morning coffee. It is close to so many fantastic outdoor activities. A 15 minute drive to the Redwood forest which has a huge range of mountain biking trails or walking tracks. Also 5 minutes from the start of the Tarawera Trail- a new walk from the Landing cafe to Hot water beach. There is a water taxi service that can pick you up at the end of the trail and drop you back to the jetty. There is also a walk starting from the Outlet of the lake to the Tarawera falls. The river disappears underground then re-emerges through fissures in a fractured cliff! The lake is very sheltered from many winds so often has beautiful flat water skiing conditions. Across the lake by Hot Water beach is a rock pool area you can sit in and let the warm water sooth your muscles after a ski. There are so many lovely picnic spots around the lake also. From Humphries Bay there is a walking track over to Lake Okataina. Also on the other side of the lake a walk to Lake Roromahana- famous for the Pink and White Terraces. Rotorua itself also has so many things to do. There is The Luge, the Zorbs , all the Geothermal wonders, wildlife parks, maori culture- the list is endless.
